Mark Hatmacher

Mark Alan Hatmacher, 59, of Chillicothe, died 4:55 am, Monday, November 3, 2014, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born October 19, 1955 in Chillicothe to the late Fredrick and Patricia Saelens Hatmacher. On November 9, 2000 he married Carolyn G. Smith Blain, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Andy (Melissa), Zachary (Brandy), and Ben (Mandy) Hatmacher, all of Chillicothe, and Kelsey Hatmacher, of Dayton; two step-children, Teri Jo and Shawn Blain, of Chillicothe; 11 grandchildren, Ethan, Evan, Isaac, Noel, Kaiden, Zaine, Halle, Isaiah, Hayden, Presley and Alizye; three brothers, Scott (Patty), Randy (Misty), and Bruce (Jeanne) Hatmacher, all of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. Mark retired as the former Owner/Operator of his family's 66 year old business, Dairy Queen. He was a member of St. Mary Church, the Jaycees Golf Course, Ross Co. Golf Association, Knights of Columbus and the Board of Directors of Shawnee Lanes. Mark was an avid golfer. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 pm Friday at St. Mary Church, Rev. James Hahn Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Thursday at the HALLER FUNERAL HOME.
