Mark Anders

Mark Steven Anders, 60, of West Palm Beach, Florida died Friday evening, June 28, 2024 at The Ohio State University Hospital.
He was born, August 16, 1963, in Chillicothe, Ohio the son of the late Clarence E. (Andy) and the late Jeanette A. (McDonald) Anders. On December 24, 2014, he married Maura S. Murphy with a beautiful marriage celebration in July of 2015 on the Murphy family estate in the Catskill Mountains of New York.
Surviving are his wife, Maura; his daughter, Riley (from a previous marriage) of West Palm Beach; siblings, David A. (Lucy) Anders, Daniel E. (Debbie) Anders, all of Chillicothe; Beverly A. (James) Thompson, Niles, MI; Carma J. (Michael) Lump, Chillicothe; Richard A. (Shaune) Anders, Frankfort, OH; Karen E. Anders Bechie Oppy; Aaron P. (Tiffany)Anders, all of Chillicothe, OH; brother-in-laws, John (Terri) Murphy, Frank (Debbie) Haner of New York, as well as, an uncle and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mark was predeceased by his parents and his mother-in-law, Margaret F. "Mumsy" Haner of Hensonville, NY.
Mark was an Ironworker Forman in the Ironworker Union Local 402 in West Palm Beach, Florida. He helped erect several Miami Beach Skyscrapers, as well as, other prominent building landmarks, including the NASCAR Homestead-Miami Speedway Control Tower and the Florida Pegasus and Dragon located in the Gulfstream Park Horse Racing Track. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, attended the Pickaway-Ross JVS and graduated from Unioto High School, Class of 1983.
He loved friend and family gatherings of all kinds, sporting events; especially The Ohio State Buckeyes and Dallas Cowboys, any activity in the Paint or North Fork Creeks of Ohio and spending time with the ones he loved.
Mark could light the room up in his own special way and easily make a friend from a stranger. He was always the first to jump in to help and get things done. Mark truly enjoyed life and will be sadly missed by so many.
Mark suffered from Pulmonary Fibrosis and received a single lung transplant in 2021. He has fought hard to live these last few years. A donation of his organs and cremation has taken place.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 11:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 61 South Paint Street, Chillicothe followed by Inurnment at St. Margaret Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 to 11:00am. Immediately following there will be a celebration of life for family and friends at the St. Mary Family Life Center.
