Marjorie L. Keel, 91, of Chillicothe, went home to be with her Lord at 11:45am on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born December 28, 1930 to Lewis and Margaret Thomas. She married Gilbert D. Keel, who preceded her in death February 21, 1999.
She is survived by her son, Joseph (Holly) Keel; daughters, Karen (Clark) Lee, and Gabriel (Mike Brown) Scott, all of Chillicothe; 9 grandchildren, Richard Johnson, Joseph Ross, Glen (Lila) Hicks, Joseph Keel Jr., Jennifer (Skyland) Cousins, Meagan (Mike) Ruff, Monique (Clarissa) Lee, and Joy (Scott) Finley; 14 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Ms. Keel was preceded in death by all of her brothers and sisters; her parents, her husband Gilbert D. Keel, a daughter, Stephanie Hicks, and granddaughter, Adrian L. Scott. She had a host of very special friends, including Linda Wilson, Ken McCall, Dorothy Valentine, Tonya Scott, and A.J. White.
Ms. Keel retired from USEC and various other jobs.
A graveside service will be held for family and friends at 12:00pm on Saturday, September 10, 2022 in Greenlawn Cemetery. There will be no public calling hours.
