Marjorie Kathryn Gothard, 87, of Chillicothe, transitioned to her new life on October 11, 2021 at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born September 3, 1934 in Blackfork, OH to the late Oscar D. and Gladys R. Howell Craddolph. On April 11, 1954 she married Joseph B. Gothard, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Joseph B. (Jean) Gothard, II and Tina M. (Gayland) Trim, of Columbus; four grandchildren, Jeanine (Damien) McGarrah,Ta'tum Neff, Gayland Trim Jr., and Jada Trim; four great-grandchildren, Naomi Neff, Zion Roa, and Jospeh and Brantley McGarrah; a brother, David (Marilyn) Craddolph, a sister-in-law, Beatrice; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by three siblings, John (Helen) Craddolph, Anna (Dana) Fields, and Gary Craddolph.
Marjorie retired as the cafeteria manager with the Chillicothe School System after 32 years of service. She was a very active member of Quinn Chapel AME Church. She was a very talented seamstress, and her greatest masterpiece was her daughter's wedding gown. She was a Girl Scout leader, enjoyed crafting dolls including various sizes of Raggedy Ann and Andy, and was the longtime organizer of the Blackfork Reunion where she was known for her Blue-Ribbon winning Lemon Lush.

The funeral service will be held 12:00 pm Monday, October 18, 2021 at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, Rev. Victor L. Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service, 11am -12pm at Haller's. The Gothard family requires masks to be worn to enter the facility.
