Marilyn Partee

Marilyn M. Partee, 73, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord February 6, 2015, at home following an extended battle with ALS. She was born June 20, 1941, in Vinton Co. to Cecil D. and Medrith D. (Perry) Mace. On March 5, 1960, she married Larry J. Partee, who survives. Also surviving are their children: Curtis (Lesa) Partee; Candy Jo Partee Kissel, all of Chillicothe; her mother Medrith D. Mace, of Jackson, OH; grandchildren: Larissa (C.J.) Immell; and Karina Partee; a brother Roger D. Mace; and many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her father, Cecil D. Mace; and her in-laws Herschel and Zella Partee. She was baptized March 1, 1959 and has been a faithful servant of the Lord. She was a member of First Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star (OES), Chapter 128, McArthur, for over 50 years. She was a graduate of Wilton High School, Class of 1959 and was a retired postmaster. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening and camping with her husband. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday, February 9, at the First Christian Church, 268 W. Water St., with Pastors Julie and Alan Cory officiating. Burial will follow in Elk Cemetery, McArthur, OH. Friends may call Sunday from 5:30-7:30 at Haller Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to the funeral at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Incare (NCR) Hospice of Southern Ohio, 681 E. 3rd St., Waverly, 45690.
