Marilyn J. (Coder) Morgan, 84, of Chillicothe, went to be with Jesus, December 8, 2020 at Signature Healthcare of Chillicothe, surrounded by family.
She was born April 6, 1936 to the late Robert D. and Florence I. Speakman Coder. On July 2, 1955 she married Marion Morgan, who preceded her in death on October 3, 2017. Survivors include her sons, Chris, Mike, and Jay (Debbie) Morgan; her granddaughters, Shannon Morgan and Olivia (Zachary) Hottinger, whom she dearly loved; a sister, LaVerne Southern; and brother, Charles Robert Coder. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Edward Southern; and a sister-in-law, Dorthea Coder.
Marilyn graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1954. She became an interior decorator, owning her own shop. She also organized the pictorial photos for churches. She was active in the Evangelical United Brethren Church and was a member of the choir, singing many solos.
Due to the pandemic, private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
