Marilyn Sue Claytor, born on May 30 th , 1958, in Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio, was the daughter of Marion and Lola (Aufmann) Dunlap. On September 6 th , 1975, she married the love of her life Timothy D. Claytor of Waverly, Pike County Ohio. Marilyn passed away unexpectedly at the age of 67 on Thursday, October 2 nd , 2025, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Karen (David) Lemaster and Ruth (Michael) Lemaster; and her daughter, Timberly Claytor. Surviving family members include her husband, Timothy D. Claytor; her children, Michelle (Bradley) Woods, Angie (Claytor) Evans, Christopher (Johnna) Claytor, Timothy (Abby) Claytor, and Donte (Sydney) Claytor; her grandchildren, Maddox Woods, Khloe Dale, Anamarie Claytor, Clara Claytor, Elaina Claytor, Kylie Crawford, Kyndle Crawford and Marcus Crawford; as well as her great- grandchildren, Hudson, Ila, Renley, Taevion, Jakobe, Tayleigha, and Taetum Claytor; and her brother, Chuck Dunlap. In addition, she is remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Marilyn was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who was widely regarded for her warmth and kindness. She was also recognized and held in high regard within the community, especially for her extensive tenure as a manager at Bob Evans. Marilyn appreciated her time spent at the ball fields, consistently supporting her children with unwavering dedication. Her ongoing commitment to their athletic activities contributed to family memories. Marilyn loved spoiling her grandchildren and making sure everyone was fed, always finding joy in gathering the family together for meals and laughter.

Her warmth and generosity created a welcoming home where friends and loved ones felt cherished, and she took pride in celebrating even the smallest moments with those she cared about. Marilyn's legacy of love, devotion, and selflessness will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Marilyn's life at Zion Baptist Church, located at 84 S Clinton Rd, on Thursday, October 9 th , 2025, at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memories and stories be shared to honor her life and the impact she made on so many. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave.

Following the service, everyone is welcome to join the family for refreshments and fellowship in the church hall located at 536 Mill St., Chillicothe, OH 45601. This will be an opportunity to share memories, ocer support, and celebrate Marilyn's life together in the spirit that she so dearly loved.
