Mariellen Goode

Mariellen Goode, 70, died unexpectedly at 7:43am April 13, 2017, at Adena Regional Medical Center.   She was born February 12, 1947, in Columbus, OH, to the late Robert and Mabel (Creamer) Dolder. On November 30, 1968, she married Raymond A. Goode, who preceded her in death on January 3, 2010.   Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law Paul (Diane) Goode; daughter AnnaMarie "Annie" Goode, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Kayla (Mark) Howard, Ashley Goode, Micca Goode, Ashley May, Cody (Haylee) Harber; great-grandchildren: Izabella Howard, August Fitch, Takoda Fitch, Conner Harber; sisters Melody Ward (Larry Cohar), Barb Werner (Penny Morris); a brother Rob (Diane) Dolder; her best friend and Annie's "second mother" Marcia Bonds; sister-in-law Ruth Seimer; brothers-in-law Jerry, Jack (Judy), David (Pauline) and Paul (Trisha) Goode; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, father, mother; and step-father Lester Ward.   Mariellen was a RN, BSN, and earned her Master's degree in Nursing from Ohio University. Her nursing career took her Adena Health System, Berger Hospital, and the Orient Correctional Facility. She was member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Rolling Hills Garden Club. She served on several boards including First Capital Enterprises, the Ohio Board of MRDD and Frontier Community Services.   Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1pm Thursday, April 20, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at St. Joseph Cemetery, Circleville, OH.
