Marian Netter

Marian M. Netter, 89, of Chillicothe, died 1:15 am, Thursday, August 19, 2010, at Heartland of Chillicothe. She was born June 4, 1921 in Chillicothe to Ruth Poindexter. On December 28, 1946 she married Eather T. Netter, who died March 13, 1977. Survivors include her children, Marcia (Ronald) Walker, of Lewis Center, Alice (Timothy) Cunningham, of Chillicothe, Melanie (David) Johnson, of Xenia, and Vickie (Theodore) Williams, of Cleveland; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great- grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Pearl Poindexter; and special friends, Gertrude Cousins and Barbara Nelson. She was preceded in death by a daughter Kay F. Higgins; a son, James "Skeeter" Banks; and two brothers Gerald and Earl Poindexter. Mrs. Netter retired from the Veterans Affairs Medical Center as a dietary aide. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, where funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Monday, August 23, Rev. Michael Alston and Bishop Melvin Maughmer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the funeral at the church on Monday.
