Marian Glassco

Marian L. Glassco, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, entered into Heaven with her family by her side on Thursday Morning, December 1, 2022.
She was born August 17, 1932 in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Locklear) Thomas. On October 29, 1955, she married her beloved husband, Joseph W. Glassco, who preceded her in death on June 9, 1997.
Surviving are her children, Cathy (Ricky) Fairrow, Karis Glassco, Jill Campbell, Cindy Harris, and Joe T. Glassco; grandchildren, Kristopher Campbell, Miranda Fairrow, Ricky Fairrow II, Krystal Hobson, Derek Harris, Jasmine Harris, Tyler-Marie Glassco, Meredith (Brandon) Irby, Jalyn Glassco, Alexa (Brett) Lucas, and Alyson Hughes; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richie Thomas, Gary Thomas, and Greg Thomas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Donald Thomas, Leon Thomas, Gerald Thomas, and Joanne Wright; and her great-granddaughter, Gabriella Jo Irby.
Marian was a lifelong member of Zion Baptist Church in Chillicothe, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school. She spent several years as a Cub Scout Den Mother and also a Girl Scout Troop Leader. She was heavily involved in volunteering both in the community and local schools, where she enjoyed reading to the children. She was also an avid reader and huge sports fan when it involved her children or grandchildren. Marian is deeply loved by all of her children, grandchildren, brothers, extended family members and close friends. She was the sweetest mother, grandmother, and sister anyone could ever have. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Adena Regional Medical Center, ProMedica Hospice Care, and Home Helpers. A special thank you is also extended to her caregivers, Ashley, Christine, and Shelly; the many nurses and all who cared for her. Also thank you to the many individuals who visited Marian, for the many prayers, and hugs.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public calling hours. A funeral service for family and friends will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, December 5, 2022 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
