Margaret Ellen Miller, 84, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning, February 10, 2021 at the Adena Regional Medical Center.
She was born November 14, 1936, in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Robert and Eunice (Harrington) Woodruff. On May 4, 1954, she married Donald Eugene Miller, and together they shared over 52 years of marriage before his passing December 21, 2006.
Surviving are their four children, Randy Miller, Kathy Carsey, Karen (Steve) Rigsby, and Mark Miller; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom Woodruff; four sisters, Martha Dyer, Leota Lawhorn, Bonnie Hutchison, and Linda Hutchison; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob Woodruff and John Woodruff; and a sister, Ruth Rhodes.
Margaret enjoyed volunteering for the Board of Elections, was a former poll worker, and volunteered during several campaigns. She and her husband Donald loved traveling, and took many trips to Gatlinburg, TN. She also loved to go swimming and especially enjoyed laying out. Her favorite thing in the world though was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family will forever remember her fun and feisty spirit, as well as the love and kindness she shared with them.
Private calling hours and a funeral for family and close friends will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at the Haller Funeral Home, Pastor Stan Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Those in attendance must adhere to all social distancing requirements and wear facial coverings at all times while inside the building.
