Marcia Jean Lindsey

Marcia Jean (Hurles) Lindsey, 79, of Chillicothe, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 2, 2026, at Traditions of Chillicothe, following a brief illness.

She was born September 20, 1946, in Chillicothe, daughter of the late Paul “Pete” and Ruby (Harper) Hurles. On August 9, 1975, she married Earl R. Lindsey, who preceded her in death June 24, 2014.

Surviving are their children, Alan Ray “Skip” (Tammy) Lindsey, Daniel Scott Dunham, Kimberly Anne (Art) Enriquez, Randy Lee (Tonya) Dunham, and Rob Alan Wiget; 19 beloved grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, three brothers, Marlin Hurles, Harp Hurles, and Bill (Leilani) Hurles; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles “Tony”” Hurles, and her sister, Margie Peters, and a grandson, Michael Lindsey. 

Jean was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, class of 1964. She worked as a beautician in Chillicothe for more than 20 years, and also helped manage a catering business. In her free time, she loved working on puzzles and going bowling. She especially enjoyed getting to visit with her grandchildren and watching videos of her great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery next to her beloved husband Earl. Friends may join the family for visitation from 12:00pm until the time of the service on Wednesday.
