Marcella Weese

Marcella Louise Weese, 86, of Chillicothe, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 19, 2017, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born October 13, 1930, in Ross County, OH, to the late Charles M. and Amy (Vangundy) Johnson. On July 3, 1949, she married Glenn E. Weese, who preceded her in death on November 18, 2007. Marcella is survived by 7 children, Linda K. (Larry) Heshiser, Diana L. Graves, Glenna S. (Gene) Thompson, Amy F. Olson, Nina J. Weese-Meyer, Sallie A. (Duane) Irvin, and Glenn E. Weese II, all of Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Dana Heshiser, Deanna Thompson, James (Angela) Weese, Stephen (Nicole) Thompson, Clay Thompson, Rikki Olson, Jon (Bobbi) Olson, Erin (Anthony) Clark, Chas Meyer, Duane (Chelsea) Irvin II, Shania Irvin, Michael Brown-Weese, Gina Conaway, and her loving parents, Bryan and Becky Conaway; 26 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild due to be born in June; her brothers, Robert (Faye) Johnson, of FL, and Walter (Carolyn) Johnson, of Chillicothe; a sister, Fairy Weidauer, also of Chillicothe, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Marcella was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Weese, a grandson, Rodney Heshiser, a granddaughter, Jillian Graves, her son-in-law, Rick Olson, as well as three brothers and two sisters. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends, and also by her beloved dog Maggie. Marcella was a Golden Eagle in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #600 in Chillicothe, where she was the cook for more than 20 years.  She was also a Girl Scout troop leader for many years. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday evening from 5:00-8:00pm.
