Marcella Johnson

Marcella Jane Johnson, 82, of Chillicothe, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 21, 1931 in Darrelville, Ohio to the late Joseph P. and Lillie Mae (Marlin) Lee. On March 13, 1950, she married Harold Alfred Johnson, who preceded her in death on December 29, 2004. Marcella is survived by her two children, Connie L. (Daniel) Dillon, of Clarksburg, and Robert C. (Brenda) Johnson of Circleville; three grandchildren, Jeremy J. Jenkins, Nathaniel L. Jenkins, and Katherine Johnson; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Jenkins, Joshua Jenkins, and Wyatt Jenkins; a sister, Debbie McKnight, of Marietta; a brother, Joey (Sally) Lee; a cousin, Bobbi Fish; special friends, Don and Nancy Porter, of Chillicothe; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by her sisters, May Karcher and Joanne Hollister. Marcella retired as a legal secretary, and had formerly worked for Stanley and Sons Auctioneers. She enjoyed reading and loved watching the birds. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 – 2:00pm on Sunday at Haller's, prior to the service.
