Marcella Donahue

Marcella R. Donahue, 90, of Bainbridge, died at 1:10am August 5, 2015, at Hearth and Care of Greenfield, following an extended illness. She was born January 26, 1925, in Ross County to the late Elijah and Myrtle (Annon) Kellough. On March 8, 1944, she married Mack Donahue, who preceded her in death August 5, 2014. Surviving are her daughter Janette Blanton, of Chillicothe; sons and daughters-in-law James A. (Cathy) Donahue, Sr., of Bainbridge; and Richard M. (Julie) Donahue, of Sparta, KY; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law Mary Jo Kerns. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by 4 brothers and a sister. Marcella was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1943. She was a proud homemaker caring for her family and took care of many children over the years. Marcella loved to cook. She was also a member of the Bainbridge Church of Christ. The family would like to give special thanks to Heartland Hospice for their care, as well as many other caregivers over the years. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, August 7, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 11am until 1pm at Haller's.
