Mara Fairrow

Mara Denise Fairrow, 61, passed from this land to Glory on February 28, 2018, after an extended illness. She was a fighter and fought a good fight.   She was born March 13, 1956, in Chillicothe to the late Robert L. and Margaret L. (Hitchens) Fairrow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Robert L. Fairrow, Jr.   Survivors, who will mourn her passing, are daughters: Angie Fairrow and Patricia Fairrow; a sister Rosala Brown; a brother David Fairrow, all of Chillicothe; 8 grandchildren, 2 of which she raised, Asia and Malik; and 2 great-grandchildren; a host of others relatives. She loved all of them dearly and equally.   Mara lived her entire life in the city of Chillicothe where she attended Chillicothe City Schools. She worked at the Chillicothe Country Club and the former Wear-Ever (Alcoa) Aluminum Plant.   To celebrate Mara's home going, a service will be held at 11am Tuesday, March 6, at the Original Glorious Church of God in Christ with Bishop Melvin Maughmer and Elder Clifford Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery where her urn will be buried with her mother and father.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haller Funeral Home to assist the family.
