Mabel G. Dresbach, 96, of Kingston, died 11:25 am, September 4, 2009, in Westmoreland Place, following a brief illness. She was born March 23, 1913 in London, OH to Charles and Beulah Smith Rice. On February 14, 1942 she married Franklin E. Dresbach, who died March 21, 2008. Survivors include a daughter, Myra E. Brown, of Hallsville; grandchildren, Jody A. Brown, Amy L. (Scotty) Brown Thompson, and Jake Brown; great-grandchildren, Ellie and Leo Thompson and Chloe Blazer; a brother, Raymond (Norma Jean) Rice, of Westerville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Homer, Cecil and Paul; and two sisters, Olive and Irene. Mrs. Dresbach was an ordained Methodist minister; a member of the Hallsville Community United Methodist Church; the United Methodist Women and a former member of the Ross Co. Farm Bureau Women. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday in the Hallsville Community United Methodist Church, Rev. David Titler officiating. Burial will follow in Hallsville Cemetery. Friends may call 4-7 pm Tuesday at Haller Funeral Home, or one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hallsville Community UMC Building Fund or Adena Health Foundation, Friends of Hospice.
