Lynn R. (Gardner) Reese, 72, of Chillicothe, passed away Friday evening, March 24, 2023, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.
She was born August 5, 1950, in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Richard Stutson Gardner and Ruth Phyllis Robinson.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Vicky Reese, of Chillicothe; two beloved grandchildren, Oscar and Jasper, of Chillicothe; brothers, Stephen Gardner, of Columbus, and Greg (Becky Kitner) Gardner, of Chillicothe; a nephew, Dakota Gardner and friend Meredith Szturm, of Hilliard; a niece, Sierra (Daniel) Rubio, of Chillicothe; step-sisters, Jennifer (VanVliet) Gordon, of Chillicothe, and Lisa (VanVliet) Coppel, of Chillicothe; as well as a host of cousins.
Lynn was a graduate of Ohio University, where she went on to work as an LPN for many years before retiring. In her free time, she loved watching birds and tracking their migratory patterns. She was an avid reader and had great taste in television shows. She also loved living in Hawaii during her twenties and had always hoped to return one day with her family.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services.
