Lura A. King Lura Alice Blanton King, 89, of Kingston, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 12, 2008, in the Cleveland Clinic, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held 12:00pm, Friday in the Open Door Ministries Church, Pastor Mark Pfeifer officiating. Burial will follow in Muhlenberg Twp. Cemetery, Darbyville, OH. Friends may call 10-12 Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home. She was born July 21, 1918 in Johnson Co., KY to John Wallace and Virginia Elizabeth Williams Blanton. On December 16, 1939 she married Albert King, who preceded her in death. Survivors include three children, Shirley (Jim) Linton, and Chuck (Sandy) King, of Chillicothe and Jimmy (Ruby) King, of Adelphi; six grandchildren, Jack (Becky) Hutchinson, Chuck (Susan) King, Tina King, Tommy (Debbie) Hutchinson, Brent (Renae) King, and Jimmy King, Jr.; several great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a sister, Merelia Baldwin, of Oil Springs, KY. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lura A. (Hutchinson) Flauding; brothers, Benjamin, James, and Ora Blanton; two infant brothers; two sisters, Julie Parsons and Jewell Conley.
