Lum was full of life, ever curious and playful. He was known for his witty sense of humor. He loved to play with words, frequently writing his family and friends poems, stories, and letters. He often sent poems and letters to shut–ins or anyone who needed a kind word to lift their spirits. He was an avid crossword puzzler and spent many days this last year socially distancing on his porch with his daughters working crosswords together. He was passionate about his work as an electrician and estimator and could be heard talking shop with any electrician he met for hours. Lum was owner/operator of Burroughs Electric and completed several installations in and around Chillicothe, including the electric for the outdoor drama Tecumseh. In spite of his success in business, he was ever mindful of his humble beginnings. He was a generous mentor and friend to many. Lum was a US Army veteran and member of the United Church of God, Portsmouth.
