Louis E. Clyne, 78, of 9865 State Route 180, Laurelville, passed away Saturday, February 18 2006, at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Miami Co., OH, on March 11, 1927, to the late William Judson and Ada (Davis) Clyne. On June 10, 1977, he married the former Helen L. Downing, who survives. Also surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law Diana (Brad) Dunkle, of Lancaster; Kay (Ron) Cochenour, of Freeport; Sharee (Paul) Houser, Frankfort; and Tami (Dwight) Dyer, Kingston; 11 grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law Maurice (Doris) Clyne, Seymour, IN; a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law Reba (Ron) Davis, Chillicothe; and a sister-in-law Stella Cantrell, also of Chillicothe. He was predeceased by his parents and four brothers. Louis retired from DuPont in 1985. He was a member of Casstown Lutheran Church, Bloomingburg F & AM Lodge #449, and the American Legion Post 62. He proudly served in the US Coast Guard Merchant Marines from December 1941 until August 1945. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Jones officiating. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Brown's Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8pm Tuesday at Haller Funeral Home where a Masonic funeral will be conducted at 7:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to Adena Hospice, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe.
