Lori A. Hunter, 57, of Chillicothe, died at 2:35am January 21, 2024, at the Ohio State University James Cancer Center following a brief illness.
She was born July 15, 1966, in Chillicothe, to Thomas Duckworth and the late Margaret (Sweet) Cassel. On October 23, 1995, she married Richard A. Hunter, who survives.
In addition to her father and husband, she is survived by her daughter Stefanie (Nathan) Scott, of Waverly; her brother David (Michele) Duckworth, of Chillicothe; step-sister Lynn Newman; and step-brother Michael (Lynn) Cassel, both of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her brother Thomas Duckworth, Jr.; and her step-father David Cassel.
Lori was a graduate of Southeastern High School and has worked at Justice Financial. She was a member of Eagles, Aerie 600, and loved her cats her dogs.
In accordance with her wishes, private graveside services will be held at Grandview Cemetery with Chaplain Bruce Hines officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ross County Humane Society, 2308-A Lick Run Road, Chillicothe, OH 45601.
