Loretta Cruze, 71, of Waverly, passed away Sunday morning, March 18, 2018, at the Holzer Medical Center – Jackson, following an extended illness. She was born August 26, 1946, in Pike Co., Ohio to the late Fernando and Gertrude "Gertie" (Wright) Queen. She is survived by Charles Cruze, her beloved husband of 43 years. Also surviving are their children, David (Michele) Schrake, Rodney (Angie) Schrake, both of Circleville, Dennis (Jennifer) Cruze, of Fort Worth, TX, Jeff (Denise) Schrake, of Connecticut, Dannielle (Jerry) Amole, of Chillicothe, and Cassie (Jeff) Dixon, of Gallia; 24 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Jan Bentley, Ina (James) Davis, Bob Cantrell, and Ethel Perry; two sisters-in-law, Francis Cantrell, and Donna Polk-Workman; a brother-in-law, Rollie (Amy) Cruze; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles David Cruze, Jr., a grandson, Zachary Robert Amole, and three siblings, Frank Cantrell, Helen Hurley, and Jim Dyer. Loretta worked for many years as a certified medical assistant at the Grove City Internal Medicine department before she retired. She was a former manager for beauty pageants when her grandchildren were young. In her free time she loved going camping, fishing, collecting dolls, and floral arranging. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was always reading her bible. She had a special affection for her little dog Lance. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Haller Funeral Home, with Pastor Roger Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Sabina Cemetery. Friends may attend a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00pm-8:00pm.
