Loren "Jack" R. Nichols, 87, of Chillicothe, went to his heavenly home December 4, 2014 at 1:50 pm, following an extended illness. He was born April 19, 1927 to the late Donald and Irene Moreland Nichols. On January 2, 1951 he married M. Carlene Long, who survives. Also surviving are children, Fhaletta Seymour, Myscenea Brown, Mark (Pam) Nichols, and Matthew (Amy Hardman) Nichols, all of Chillicothe, and Charles Nichols, of Londonderry; grandchildren, Jason and Wesley Brown, Amanda Canterbury, Susie Woods, and Megan and Zach Nichols; great-grandchildren, Carianne and Alaina Woods; a sister, Clara Dunmire, of Texas; a brother, Leon Nichols, of Illinois; "grandsons" Brennan and Sawyer Lovely; and his dog Chester. He was preceded in death by a son, Wesley; a daughter, Raylanda; three sisters; and a brother. Jack owned and operated Jack's Frame and Axle. He was a World War II and Korean Navy veteran. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, and loved fishing, gardening and bowling. The family would like to thank the staff of Heartland of Chillicothe for their care. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Monday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Steve Schmidt and Rev. Andrew Shearer officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden.
