Lora Marie McComis, 70, of Chillicothe, passed away early Tuesday morning, March 26, 2019, at Valley View Care Center in Frankfort following an extended illness.
She was born September 16, 1948, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Huey and Ruby (Kuhn) McComis.
Surviving is her son, Dale Lee (Michelle) Grubb, Jr.; five grandchildren, Christopher (Kyna) Williamson, Travis Burnett, Chelsey Grubb, Rockell Grubb, and Gabriel Grubb; three step-grandchildren, Clayton, Colton, and Carissa Steele; three great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Brooklynn, and Ryder; two brothers, Roger (Nancy) McComis and Butch (Patty) McComis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin Lynn Grubb, and her siblings, Helen, Ruth, Charles, Millard, Eddy, Theodore, and Carson.
Lora worked at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center as a nurse's aid for many years before her retirement. In her free time, she enjoyed going mushroom hunting, flower gardening, and drinking her coffee. But most of all she loved getting to spend time with her grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services.
