Lloyd Riehle

Lloyd F. Riehle, 80, of Chillicothe, died at 5:35am Thursday, December 12, 2013, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, following a brief illness. He was born April 20, 1933, in Ross County to the late John and Dorothy (Kellough) Riehle. On September 22, 1954, he married the former Donna L. Stagg, who preceded him in death July 13, 2002. Surviving are his daughters Janet "Erin" Riehle and her partner Judy McBride, of Terrace Park, OH; Beth Ann Riehle, Chillicothe; Kelly Riehle and her partner Joe Daniels, of St. Clairsville, OH; his son David Lloyd Riehle and his partner Melody Walters, of Chillicothe; Lloyd's companion Joyce Ruschmann, of Chillicothe; granddaughter Shannon Nicole French, Oak Hill, OH; and his brother Mike (Geri) Riehle, Westerville, OH. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by sisters Lois Criner and Evelyn Canini; and brothers Jim, Larry, Jack and Pat Riehle. Lloyd retired from the Mead Paper Co. in 1996 following 40 years of service. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was an active member of the American Legion, Post 62; AMVETS, Post 4; VFW, Post 108; the Moose; the Petty Officers; the Eagles, Aerie 600; and the Mead Local 731. Lloyd was an avid hunter, OSU Fan and proud veteran. He was an ornery guy who loved to tell jokes, play cards with his buddies at the military clubs and dance with Joyce. He made sure his children were educated, responsible people. He was a great Dad. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, December 15, at the HALLER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Judy McBride officiating. Military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-5pm Saturday at Haller Funeral Home.
