Lionell Lee Wisecup, 68, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly Sunday, September 27, 2015, at his home. He was born February 9, 1947, in Chillicothe, to Homer and Elma (Madden) Wisecup. On April 15, 1996, he married Norma M. (Woodbridge) Wisecup, who survives. Also surviving is his mother, Elma; step-children: Christy (Mike) McDonald, of Chillicothe; Amber Curry, of Florida; Richard (Missy) Caldwell, of Columbus; and Jeanine Pope, of Chillicothe; step-grandchildren: Laura (Allen) Pihl, Christina Pope, Elizabeth Pope, Sohn Botu Pope II; step-great-grandchildren: Crystal Carter and Matthew Livesay, Jr.; several cousins and special cousins Vicki (Charles) Pritchard; Phyllis (Raymond) Tittle and Kenneth Bower, Jr. He is sorely missed by his canine buddies Calli and Pepe. He was predeceased by his father, Homer; and his brother David Wisecup. Lionell served in the US Navy and was a member of the American Legion, Post 757; AMVETS, Post 4; and the Eagles, Aerie 600. During his lifetime, he was employed by the railroad and had retired from the Plumbers and Pipefitters, Local 189. At his request, there will be no public calling hours or service. Cremation services will be held under the direction of Haller Funeral Home and Crematory. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Ross Co. Humane Society, 2308A Lick Run Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
