Linda Tackett

Linda Louise Tackett, 73, of Chillicothe, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born November 22, 1944, in Chillicothe, to the late Robert and Jeanette (Littlejohn) Damron. On February 22, 1966, she married William Lee Tackett who survives. Also surviving are their two sons, Billy (Chris) Tackett, of Jackson, and Kevin Tackett, of Chillicothe; three grandchildren, Ashley Tackett, of Chillicothe, Elijah Tackett, of Bainbridge, and Jordan Tackett, of Waverly; two great-grandchildren, Pierce Cain and Koy Tackett; and two brothers, Robert Damron, and Donald Damron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Anthony Tackett, a granddaughter, Sydney Lee Tackett, and two sisters, Mary McGarvey, and Becky Kennedy. Linda was a member of the Chillicothe First Assembly Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Haller Funeral Home, with Pastor Shaun Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00-5:00pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
