Linda Sue Seymour gained her eternal angel wings on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at the age of 79, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Frankfort, OH on April 5, 1945 to Purl and Amanda (Claytor) Brown.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Marvin Seymour, her children Danny Barker (Kim Hoffman), Danele Barker, Kristen Stewart (Rick Houser), Greg (Kacey) Seymour, and Mary Lynn (Bryan) Immell, her grandchildren Nathan, Justin, Courtney, and Brandon Barker, Taylor (Logan) Moore, Justin (Katie) Needs, Adrienne, and Gregory Seymour, Nicholas (Allison) Coyle, Lucas (Maddie) Coyle, and Nicole Kneece, her Great-grandchildren Luna Needs, Fifi Coyle, Hunter Ryker, and Baby Coyle due in August, her sister Katherine Butterbaugh, many nieces, nephews, friends, and her rescue fur baby, Sylvia.
Linda spent 35 years working for Dr.'s Catherine and Edward Su whom she cared about greatly, and was also a member of Acts Believe Church for several years.
Grammy, as she was affectionately known, had an infectious smile, a contagious laugh and always holding her arms out for a hug. Through the years, she and Marvin, or "Bert", as she called him, enjoyed many family trips and NASCAR races. As her health began to decline, she considered it to be a good week if she made it to the casino on Wednesday, church on Sunday, followed by a stop at Walgreens on Bridge St., to "shop", and chat with her favorite employees there. Grammy was an avid fan of THE Ohio State University, especially football. During the fall, she could be found in front of the TV watching the game. Her family thinks her mission was complete when she watched her beloved Buckeyes win the National Championship!
Linda is preceded in death by her daughter Angela Barker, parents, and 10 siblings. What a joyous homecoming that must have been!
In keeping with Linda's love of all things Ohio State, the family will receive friends, dressed in their favorite Buckeye gear, at Haller Funeral Home on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 3 to 5 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the Ross County Humane Society, 2308 Lick Run Road #A, Chillicothe OH 45601, in Linda's name.
