Linda Selby

Linda Clarice Selby (Robson), 78, of Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away from this life on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born on March 5, 1944, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Kenneth C. and Ruby Clarice Robson, of Pompano Beach, Fla.  Linda graduated from Pompano Beach Senior High School in 1962 and married Robert L. Selby II, of Pompano Beach, in 1966.  She was employed by the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District in Edinburg, Texas, as an educational paraprofessional from 1978 through 1984, working first at Robert E. Lee Elementary and then at Lyndon Baines Johnson Elementary.  After moving to Chillicothe in 1984, she worked for Security Engineering, Carver Community Center and other employers.  She was a member and former president of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 108 Auxiliary. She was also a member of the AMVETS Post 4 Ladies Auxiliary, the American Legion Post 757 Ladies Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge 1626 Ladies Auxiliary.  Linda enjoyed tennis, softball, bowling, bingo and was an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her mother in 1989, her husband in 1993, her father in 1999, and her brother, Robert J. Robson of Key West, Fla. (and formerly of Chillicothe), earlier this year.  Linda is survived by her son, Shawn Selby, of Washington, D.C.; niece, Kimberly Robson (Chris McGowan), of Chillicothe; sister-in-law, Kathy Taylor, of Chillicothe; and several cousins in Florida, Texas and North Carolina.
