Linda K. Hurff Rourke, 82, passed away on March 25, 2025, at her home unexpectedly. She was born on January 26, 1943, in Chillicothe, to Edward A. and Grace Norma (Staat) Hurff. On September 5, 1964, she married Michael J. Rourke, Jr., the love of her life, who preceded her in death on September 16, 2003.
Linda was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Michele "Shelly" Rourke Jones; and her brother Edward "Eddie" A. Hurff II.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa (Dave) Ramsey, of Clayton, NC; sons Erik M. Rourke, Columbus, OH, and Travis (Mycah Manson) Rourke, of Chillicothe; brothers Michael J. (Barbara LaRock) Hurff, of Loveland, OH, and Matthew J. (Rebecca Lutz) Hurff, of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Seth M. (Jennifer Cupples) Ramsey, of Pinson, TN, Brady C. (fiancée Carlee Bohn) Ramsey, of Moraine, OH, Sydney N. Ramsey, of Pittsburgh, Michael T. (Erika Timmons) Rourke and Patrick Rourke, both of Chillicothe; 3 great-grandkids: Lane, Ryan and Saylor; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Linda was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, Class of 1961 and was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
The family will receive friends from 3-5pm Monday, March 31, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, where a wake service will be Celebrated at 5pm, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Margaret Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Scioto Valley Habitat for Humanity, PO Box 6125, Chillicothe, OH 45601.
