Linda Diane Litter

Linda Diane Beard Litter, 89, of Chillicothe died at 3:28am July 22, 2026, at her home.

She was born January 29, 1937, to Dorothy and Robert Beard in Springfield, OH. She graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1954. She married Robert W. Litter in 1959. They lived a full and happy life until his passing in 2018.

She is survived by her four children Kathleen {Ricky) Ray, Elizabeth (Greg) Corzine, Auna {Brad) Roseberry of Chillicothe and Matthew {Beth) Litter. Eight grandchildren: Matthew (Elaine) Roseberry, Marysville, OH; Sarah (Sean) Stewart, Glasgow, Scotland; Winston (Abby) Corzine, Chillicothe, OH; Claire Corzine (Chris Constable), Conifer, CO; Marisa (Brad) D'sa, Gahanna, OH; Audrey Corzine, Denver, CO; Maxwell (Abby) litter, Chillicothe, OH; Georgianna (Ted) Tickle, Auburn, WA. Six great-grandchildren: Sadie and Trent Tickle, Auburn, WA; Lucas and baby Corzine, Chillicothe, OH; Mauricio Ortega and Grayson Roseberry, Marysville, OH.

Linda always put family first. She was proud of the fact that she raised "four only children"; encouraging each to excel in their individual God given talents. She took pleasure in organizing family activities; mostly in the trips that she planned for each grandchild when they reached 16.

She was a woman of strong faith. She was raised Presbyterian. Married an Episcopalian and raised her children in that faith. She went back to her Presbyterian roots and was active in the choir and leadership in the church. She was an active member of the Renaissance Singers and sang with the Columbus Symphony during those years. She had a gorgeous alto voice which she unfortunately did not pass along to her children. Recently she joined the Catholic community which she dearly loved and supported in "Linda" style (all-in!).

Her love of family led her to volunteer for many community projects for which she was selected; Chillicothe Bicentennial, Chillicothe City School projects, Adena Regional Medical Center board, Adena Mansion and Gardens Board, Ross County Humane Society among many others upon request.

She was involved with the national collegiate sorority Phi Mu serving on various committees then as National President for 14 years. She didn't provide her energy and expertise for the accolades but for the betterment of the community. She was very persuasive and knew that she could provide the guidance needed for each particular situation.

She curated many personal friendships over the years both in her personal and professional life. Most especially she valued being a part of the Dr. Aref Amro family, Dublin, OH. She enjoyed traveling with Bob, meeting new people, building lasting relationships and learning new ways of life.

She enjoyed needlework, especially traditional rug hooking which she became a master "hooker" and created beautiful pieces for family and friends. She also enjoyed going to Greenfield every Tuesday evening to her friend Sandra McNeil's to knit with friends. Not only did her skill elevate, she made a lifelong family friend.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Linda's life during a visitation at Haller Funeral Home , Chillicothe, OH on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 11am - 1pm with a service officiated by Jim Grove at 1pm.
