Linda Goebel

Linda L. Goebel, 74, of Chillicothe, died at 1:30pm September 16, 2021, at Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.   She was born May 26, 1947, in Chillicothe, to the late Leroy and Betty Anne (Smith) Welshimer.  On September 6, 1975, she married Roger L. Goebel, who preceded her in death July 16, 2021.   She is survived by her daughter and son -in-law, Amy and Eric Derringer; her beloved three grandsons, Bryce, Drew and Zack Derringer, all of Chillicothe; many special friends and her cat "Noahy."    Linda was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1965.  She worked as a medical transcriptionist for Chillicothe Family Physicians as well as a medical secretary for Coroner John A. Gabis, MD for over 20 years.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending her grandsons' ballgames and playing bingo.   Her funeral service will be held at 1pm Tuesday, September 21, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory, with Pastor Jon Welch officiating.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11am – 1pm at the funeral home.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Ross Co.
