Linda Marie Chester

Linda Marie Chester, 78, of Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday afternoon, December 15, 2025, at the OSU Wexner Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Born on November 19, 1947, in Chillicothe, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth (Lowry) Miller.

Linda is survived by her loving partner of more than 30 years, George Lockard; her devoted sons, Marvin (Peggy) Chester, Kevin (Angel) Chester, and Mark (Nellena) Chester; cherished grandchildren Austin, William, Abby, Tory, Kyle, and Jordan; beloved great-grandchildren Sofia, Oliver, and Alden; her siblings, Betty (Gary) Parks, Geanie (Dave) Vickers, Bill (Terry) Miller, Jay Mumford, Connie Fox, Steve (Jenny) Miller, Brenda Martin, and Bev (Kenny) Burton; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who were like family to her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Mark Mumford, Phil Fox, and Dana Martin; and a sister, Christine Miller. 

Linda had a heart that overflowed with love and generosity. She was a gifted homemaker, always creating a warm and welcoming space for her family and friends. She delighted in hosting Pizza Parties, enjoyed shopping and capturing memories through her photography, and had a special fondness for spring yard sales. Her love for her kitty cats was endless, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Linda’s laughter, kindness, and vibrant spirit touched everyone who knew her. Her family and friends will carry her love and memory in their hearts forever.

A celebration of life service is being planned for a later date.
