Lewis Pence

Lewis M. Pence Lewis M. Pence, 80, of Chillicothe, died 6:38 am, Wednesday, March 04, 2009, at home, following an extended illness. He was born January 11, 1929 in Ross Co. to George and Rachel Sullivan Pence. Survivors include his daughter, Judy Bruce, of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Kelly Walsh, Chris and John Bruce, and Ryan Graves; step-grandchildren, Ronnie, David, and Greg Bruce; great-granddaughter, Elaina Walsh; numerous nieces and nephews including special nieces, Lorna McCray and Joy (Don) Laughlin; a special sister-in-law, Shirley Pence; a sister, Linda (Dewey) Cassell; and brothers, Dwight, David and Jack Pence. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Gail Stanley, Nancy Havens, and Helen Neiberlein; and three brothers, Herbert, Murl and James Pence. Mr. Pence retired from the United States Army in 1975. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday in the Haller Funeral Home. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Friday evening at Haller's.
