Leslie S. True, 96, of Grove City, formerly of Chillicothe, died 7:35 pm August 19, 2021, at his residence, following an extended illness.
He was born March 17, 1925 in Ross Co. to the late Sherman and Rose Shewalter True. On November 12, 1950 he married Donna L. McCormick True, who survives. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, including Dorsey "Doc" True, of Chillicothe, Robert Reed, of Colorado Springs, Charlotte Parker, of Cincinnati, and Bertha Watson, Constance Garrison, and Lloyd Reed, all of Chillicothe; and a good friend, Dewey Leach. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Les worked for the US Shoe Co. for 25 years. He then drove a truck for CCC Trucking, Columbus, OH, retiring in 1987. Following retirement, he and Donna delivered ambulances for the Grove City based Horton Emergency Vehicle company.
The family would like to thank Capital City Hospice, Laurus Home Health, Green Team and Story Point of Grove City for their excellent care.
Following cremation, graveside services will be held in Floral Hills Memory Gardens at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in his name.
