Leslie Crago

Leslie D. "Poppy" Crago, 82, of Chillicothe, died at 10:30pm Wednesday, September 28, 2011, in Westmoreland Place following an extended illness. He was born June 29, 1929, in Lancaster, OH to the late John N. and Mildred M. Karr Crago. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Jean (Gibson) Crago; his son and daughter-in-law Brandon and Katie Crago, all of Chillicothe; daughter and son-in-law Jill and Clint Beaver, of Lawshe, OH; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sisters Nellie Witcraft, New Holland, PA; Louise Griffith, Lancaster. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son Gregory Crago and a brother Fran Crago. Poppy was an honorary member of the Harrison Twp. Volunteer Fire Dept. He enjoyed fishing and riding on the mower. The family will receive friends Monday from 5-8pm at Haller Funeral Home. Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to Haller Funeral Home.
