Leroy R. Caler, Jr., 78, of Chillicothe, died at 11:06am Tuesday, January 15, 2008, in Adena Regional Medical Center. Private graveside service will be held in Hallsville Cemetery under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. Friends may call Friday from 4-8pm and Saturday from 10am-12pm at Haller Funeral Home where a Lion's service will be held at 11:30am. Leroy was born May 18, 1929, in Ellsworth, ME, to the late Leroy R., Sr. and Leola F. Robinson Caler. Leroy is survived by his wife Donna L. (Congrove) Caler; his son Jeffrey Caler; his daughter and son-in-law Vanessa (Ernie, Jr.) Fletcher, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren Ambra (Bill) Malone; Ronie Caler; Ernie Fletcher III; Holly Fletcher; and Ariel Caler; 4 great grandchildren; a sister Millie Bibro; 4 half-brothers; 2 half-sisters; and 2 step-brothers. He was predeceased by his parents, his step-father Fred Sawyer; a half-sister; 3 step-sisters and 4 step-brothers. Leroy retired from Ross Co Redi-Mix as a truck driver. He was World War II Navy Veteran, Past Post Commander of the American Legion, Post 757, and a member of the Chillicothe Lion's Club. He was an avid bowler belonging to the Senior Bowling League, the Lion's Bowling League, and worked with the Pioneer School children with bowling.
