Leona H. White Leona H. White, 90, passed from this life Thursday October 13, 2005. She was born September 5, 1915 in Tucson, OH to Clarence H. Hall and Mamie C. Strausbaugh Hall. She married Donald O. White on November 15, 1942. She is survived by her children, Donald White, of Dayton, Dean White, of Bucyrus, Jeannine Diehl, of Akron, Deidra Soler, of Worthington, Lou Anne Musick, of Raleigh, NC, Dana White, of Columbus, Johnida White, of Chillicothe, and Joscelyn Wood, of Chillicothe; sixteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Menear; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter Loree. She was a member of the Charleston Church of the Brethren, a graduate of Ohio University and taught elementary school in Adelphi until she had "A school room of my own," as she affectionately called her nine children. A beautiful woman, she was kind at heart, stoic and intelligent. She will forever be cherished by her family. Funeral services will be held 12:30 pm Saturday in the Walnut St. United Methodist Church, Pastor Scott Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery, Circleville. Friends may call 6-8 pm this evening at Haller's.
