Leona Detty

Leona B. Detty, 89, of Chillicothe, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus at 4:35 am, Wednesday, July 7, 2010. She was born September 4, 1920 in Ross Co. to the late Warren and Goldie Woods Long. On July 11, 1944 she married Clifford C. Detty, who preceded her in death on February 26, 1999. She is survived by a step-son, Clifford E. (Janice) Detty and a sister, M. Carlene (Loren) Nichols. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Marie; three brothers, Collen W., Burton E. and Robert D.; and two sisters, Evelyn B. and Norma Jean. Mrs. Detty was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and the Berean Sunday School Class. Special thanks to her loving care givers; Mary Newland, Brittany Echard, and her new friend from Hospice, Mark Mulholland. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Steven Schmidt officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
