Leo Sharkey

Leo W. Sharkey, 56, of Chillicothe, formerly of Harleysville, PA, died unexpectedly August 14, 2006, in his home. He was born March 6, 1950, in Abington, PA, to the late William L. and Elizabeth M. Lendvey Sharkey. On April 16, 1982, he married the former Carolyn S. Bye, who survives. Also surviving are his sons William L. and Andrew T. Sharkey; granddaughters Talia and Hailey Sharkey; and a sister Diane Giantisco, all of Pennsylvania. He was predeceased by a brother Michael Sharkey. Leo served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a Corporal in the Marine Corps, Bravo Co., 9th Engineering Battalion, 1st Marine Division. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, August 18, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Rossman officiating. Military graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Pennsylvania. Calling hours will not be observed.
