Lemuel "Lem" Ray Carroll, 64, of Chillicothe, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born January 23, 1955, in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Harold and Nellie (Bethel) Carroll. He later married Pamela (Timmons) Carroll, and together they have shared over 20 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Tonya (Randy) Dunham, of Chillicothe, Lem Jr., "Bub" (Janelle) Carroll, of Laurelville, and Kelly Reissig, of Chillicothe; his step-children, Nikki Arnold, of Columbus, and Chris Arnold, also of Columbus; six grandchildren, Logan Carroll, Malachi Reissig, Shelby Dunham, Nehemiah Reissig, Zander Carroll, and Justin Dunham, all of Chillicothe; four step-grandchildren; his sisters, Jo (Everett) Harris, of Chillicothe, Ruthie (Jay) McGuire, also of Chillicothe, Judy Gillespie, of Grove City, and Jean (Kenny) Burns, of Columbus; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Harold "Bud" Carroll, Jane McDonald, and Joyce Guzick.
Lem retired from the Mead Paper Company (pulp mill) after 32 years of employment. He was a union steward of the U.P.I.U. Local 731. He loved his dog Molly, and enjoyed watching Nascar racing.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation services will be performed. There will not be any public calling hours or funeral.
