LeeAnn Morris, 46, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 7:19pm, Wednesday, December 30, 2009, at her home surrounded by family following an extended illness. She was born December 26, 1963, in Streator, IL, to David T. and Judith M. Fredericksen Detrick. On October 4, 1997, she married Eric S. Morris, who survives. Also surviving are their children Matthew and Amanda "Mandy" Morris, both of Chillicothe; her mother Judith Stone; her brother and sister-in-law Terry and Jennifer Stone; nephews Logan and Brady Stone; niece Hannah Stone, all of Ft. Mill, SC; her step-sister Susan (Rick) Korecki, Estero, FL; mother-in-law and father-in-law Wesley and Doris Morris, Waverly; maternal grandfather Lester Fredericksen, Torrance, CA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her father, David T. Detrick; her step-father John O. Stone; maternal grandmothers Dorothy Smith and Pauline Fredericksen; paternal grandparents Theron and Ruth Detrick; and her maternal step-grandfather John Smith. LeeAnn worked as a Physical Therapist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe, for 21 years. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in Toledo and was scholar-athlete at the University of Toledo where she played volleyball and received her Bachelor's Degree. She was an exceptional athlete in both high school and college. She was an active member of St. Peter Catholic Church, as well as active with 4H, a volleyball referee for 20 years all over the state of Ohio, an active parent with her children at Bishop Flaget School, an Aquatic Therapist, and an avid Ohio State fan. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00pm Monday, January 4, at St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. William Hahn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10am until 12:30pm at Haller Funeral Home. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Matthew and Amanda Morris College Fund, c /o Homeland Credit Union, 310 Caldwell St., Chillicothe; or a charity of the donor's choice.
