Leah Adreana Jannelle Stotridge, 11, of Chillicothe, affectionately known as "Leah Jo," "Pookie," and "Lele," died unexpectedly at 8:58am Friday, October 9, 2009, in Adena Regional Medical Center. She was born April 14, 1998, in Chillicothe, to Glen E. and Jannelle J. Book Stotridge, who survive. Also surviving are her sister Hannah Christian Jannelle Stotridge "Hannah Jo"; brother Glen Richard Lee Stotridge "Baby G," both of Chillicothe; paternal grandparents Lois and Dave Cox, of Jackson; maternal grandmother Nellie Book, "Nana"; Mamaw Belinda Stotridge, both of Chillicothe; maternal great-grandmother Lillian (and the late Andrew) Book, of Portsmouth; uncles Justin (Stephanie) Stotridge; John Book, all of Chillicothe; aunts Amy (John) Brady, Jackson; Michelle (Nik) Seitz; Lillian (Kevin) Williams, all of Chillicothe; Andrea (Gary) Smith, Amanda, OH; Linda Book "Aunt Nina" of Chillicothe; cousins Baileigh Seitz "Baileigh Jo"; Faith Smith; Josh Book; Gabby Brady "Gabby Jo"; Kyla Brady "Kyla Jo"; Jacoby Stotridge; Kevin Williams "K.K."; Kyle Williams; Justin Book; and Jesse Book; many other extended family members including Ted and Michelle Kritza and their children Bekkem and Bookie; and many classmates, friends, and teachers at Unioto School, including Patty Hartsock, who has been very influential to Leah. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather Glenn Stotridge; and her maternal grandfather John Andrew Book. Leah was a sixth grader at Union-Scioto "Unioto" Schools where she participated in cheerleading, softball, volleyball, basketball and choir. She was also a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church where she was a member of AWANA Youth group. Leah had a beautiful smile that would light up a room. She was particular about her fashion and her hair style in a way that always allowed her to have a glow about her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, October 16, in Lighthouse Baptist Church, 341 Clinton Rd., with Pastor Ryan Bevan officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8pm at Lighthouse Baptist Church and 1 hour prior to the funeral on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home.
