Lawrence Harry McNaughton, 77, of Chillicothe, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 17, 2025 at his home, following a brief illness.
He was born November 21, 1947, in Ross County, to the late Lawrence H. and Kathleen Marie (McCarty) McNaughton.
Surviving is his sister, Kathleen P. Roy; nieces and nephews, Robert Smith, Katrina Smith, Zack (Beth) Roy, Seth (June) Roy, Ethan (Sami Jo Holdren) Roy, Noah (Amy) McNaughton, Liza Jo (Chris) Legg, and Eli McNaughton; special close friend, Nicole Warner; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Agnes Ann Smith, his brother, Christopher Carl McNaughton, his brother-in-law, Tom Roy; and his niece, Mary Anne Smith.
Harry was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He enjoyed many things in life, but spending time with his family and friends was at the top of the list. He also loved a good snow storm and couldn't wait for the winter forecast to come out!
A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the Haller Funeral Home. Friends may join the family for visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service. In accordance with his wishes, cremation services will be performed and burial in the McNaughton-Roy Cemetery will take place in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Good Will Industries in Harry's honor.
