Larry Wheeler

Larry E. Wheeler, 67, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 7:32pm on Monday October 20, 2008, in Adena Regional Medical Center following a four year battle with many illnesses. A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm Thursday, October 23, at the First Wesleyan Church, 89 S. Mulberry St. with Pastor B. Jay Dailey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. Larry was born July 31, 1941, in Gallipolis, OH, to the late Thomas and Easter Long Wheeler. On January 2, 1993, he married the former Beverly L. Mitchell, who survives. Also surviving are his children: Richard (Shona) Wheeler; Tina (James) Britton; Karlton (Jennifer) Wheeler; Lara Wheeler; George Baker III; and Peggie Marcum; grandchildren: Katey and Richard Wheeler; Dillon and Shelby Britton; Branton, Audrie, and Derek Wheeler; Katey, Stacia, and Mitchell Baker; Sarah, Toran, And Brandie Marcum; brothers Thomas (Sue) Wheeler, Florida; and Roy Wheeler, Chillicothe; a sister Ruth King, Chillicothe; and his special furry daughter Fritzie and grandpuppies Shunaynay and Moto. He was predeceased by his parents, a niece Tonya (Wheeler) Hackney; and a son-in-law Walter "Chip" Marcum. Larry was a retired truck driver. He attended the First Wesleyan Church when his health permitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
