Larry Hill

Larry Allen Hill, age 69, passed away suddenly on June 3, 2017 in his Englewood, Florida home.  He was born on August 15, 1947 in Ross County, Ohio, the loving son of Clyde Kenneth Hill and Louise B. Hill.  He is survived by his mother Louise B. Hill; his children, Mara (Francisco) Rice, Adam (Teresa) Hill, Lauren Mullins, and Ashley Foster; the mother of his children, Mary Hill; his many grandchildren and great grandchild; his brother Michael (Linda) Hill; and his nephews Joe (Hayley) Hill and Andy (Lisa) Hill, and their children.   Larry was extraordinary and led a rich life blazing his own path.  Following his discharge from the US Army, he graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Architecture.  He became a practicing CPA a few years later, and then later an entrepreneur.  He earned his nursing degree in his fifties and went on to work at the Cleveland Veterans Administration Hospital for several years before retiring to Englewood, Florida.   Larry was much loved by the many whose lives touched his, especially his grandchildren.  He leaves them with many fond memories of their father and "Papa". To those who knew him well, he was a kind and gentle soul, who enjoyed working with his hands on cars, motorcycles, and home remodeling projects.   The family will receive friends from  12:00 pm to 1:00 pm  on Saturday June 17, 2017, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.  A Memorial Service will follow at  1:00 pm .  Private internment will take place at a later date.
