Larry Detty

Larry L. Detty Larry L. Detty, 68, of Londonderry, died 6:32 am, Monday, September 1, 2008, in the Adena Regional Medical Center. Private graveside services will be conducted in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Rev. Mark Clendaniel officiating, at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will not be observed. The family will hold a memorial service 12:00 noon Thursday at 260 E. 4th St. Haller Funeral Home is serving the family. He was born January 28, 1940 in Chillicothe to Jesse and Viola Rapp Detty. He married Elizabeth Benson, who survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Kim (Danny) Oates, and Sue (Earl Mark) Colley, both of Chillicothe; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and a sister, Donna Music, of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sandra Lawson. Mr. Detty was a Korean Conflict Navy Veteran. He retired from the Engineering Department of the VA Medical Center, Chillicothe. He was a member of the BPOE 52 and NRA. The family requests no flowers.
