Larry S. Coleman, 91, of South Salem, died at 12:04am Tuesday, August 19, 2008, in Valley View Care Center, Frankfort, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday, August 22, in the Haller Funeral Home with Curtis Bauske officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the funeral Friday at Haller Funeral Home. Larry was born September 18, 1916, in Orange Co., N.C. to the late Ellis Y. and Florence Kenion Coleman. On June 12, 1941, he married the former Fay G. Grainger, who survives. Also surviving are his son, David, daughter-in-law, Ellen, granddaughters, Sheila(Rod) Havens, Sheryl (Brian) Roseberry, Angela (Bill) Ward, seven great-grandchildren, Jacob Stewart, Josie Stewart, Kennedy Roseberry, Kassady Roseberry, Cole Havens, Gavin Havens, Maria Ward and a brother Ted E. Coleman, of North Carolina. He was predeceased by a son Donald L. Coleman; brothers Young, A. B. and Hamby Coleman; and sisters Elizabeth Smith, Opal Coleman, and Jean Monroe. Larry was a retired farmer. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting turkey.
