Larry R. Carrico, 72, of Londonderry, passed at his home, 6:50 pm, Saturday, January 31, 2015, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born February 26, 1942 in Byers, OH to the late Charles V. and Vivian Edith Barnett Carrico. On June 3, 1983 he married the former Mary D. Wills, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Soni (Johnny) Robinson, and Kathleen (Steven) Alderman, both of Chillicothe; 4 grandchildren, Nicole Kneece, Tyler Dray, Caitlin Holdren, and Ally Alderman; one great-grandchild, Hunter Kneece; a sister, Sharon Kempton, and a brother, Terry (Arnetta) Carrico, both of Londonderry; and four nephews, Chuck Kempton, and Tracy, Tad and Tony Carrico. Larry was a US Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post 62 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 600. He was an avid golfer, loved his dogs, and enjoyed deer hunting, until later in life when he began just watching them. He retired from the Mead Paper Co. following 48 years of service, and had retired from the Liberty Twp. Fire Dept. as a firefighter and EMT. Calling hours will be from 5-7 pm Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home. Private military graveside services, conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard, will be held in Londonderry Cemetery, at the convenience of the family.
